No. Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations pays U-Preferred travel agencies a commission when you book a package through us, so our planning service is free to you. You pay the same price you’d pay booking direct on Universal’s website.
Universal’s three official partner hotels are the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, the Sheraton Universal, and The Garland in North Hollywood. The Hilton and Sheraton are walking distance with complimentary shuttles to the park. The Garland is a few minutes farther with a complimentary trolley and a different vibe. We’ll match the right one to your group.
Sometimes. Hollywood is a smaller park than Orlando, so Universal Express isn’t an automatic yes. It pays off on weekends, during peak season, and if you’re trying to do everything in one day. On a quiet weekday with Early Access, you can often skip it. We'll look at your specific dates before recommending.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is the closest at about six miles, but it’s a smaller airport with limited DFW service. LAX is roughly 20 miles away with the most flight options. Long Beach (LGB) and John Wayne (SNA) are good choices if you’re combining Hollywood with a Disneyland visit, since they’re closer to Anaheim. We pick the airport that fits your full itinerary.
January through early March and mid-September through early December offer the best mix of mild weather, lower crowds, and reasonable hotel rates - avoiding Presidents Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas weeks. Summer and weekends are busiest. Halloween Horror Nights in September and October dramatically changes park hours and crowd patterns.
Same base price as Universal’s direct site - Universal protects pricing across channels. What an agent can do is monitor your reservation for promotions after you book and apply any savings, recommend the package mix that delivers more value (right hotel category, right ticket type, right add-ons), and pull in supplier-side promotions that aren’t always surfaced on the consumer site.
You contact us. As a U-Preferred Travel Agency, we have direct channels into Universal that independent bookers don’t. We handle hotel issues, ticket problems, schedule changes, and anything else that comes up - you don’t sit on hold with a 1-800 number trying to fix it yourself.
